Passport problem...

Hi guys

I've just bought a new pony and discovered that the owner I purchased from never actually changed the name on the passport so it is still as if he is owned by the breeder.

I have tried contacting the connemara pony society but they never bothered to respond.

Whats the best way to go about sorting out this mess?

I had this when I bought Bob - just send the passport off to be updated with your details and it should be fine.

Are you sure you contacted the right people at the Connemara Pony Society (assuming it is the British society that you want)?

Try calling them again as they are usually very good.

He's from Southern Ireland, so its the Cumann Lucht Capaillini Chonomara (Connemara Pony Breeders Society) that he is registered with, not the British society.

I have tried changing my weksh A to my name and have exactly the same problem. I sent it to Welsh pony society and they cashed chq then wrote and said old owner had to sign he was sold. Still arguing about it!!!
