Passport query

Hi

Sorry this is going to be a bit of a random thread. Is anybody knowledgeable about passports? I don't want to put the full story out publicly. I can PM further details But basically I've purchased a horse. Been a bit lax. The owners said they would drop him off but sent him with a transporters. So I've got no signed reciept for him. Only emails, texts and record of bank transfer. The passport he came with has no previous owners in it. I've tried calling them but to no avail. In the passport he's been at two yards previously. The yard I got him from and one close by. The old owners have have him 10 years and previous person (I'm assuming ) 6 months.
What do I do?

You can PM me if you want. Not sure from the post what the issue is and you may well be right not to post publicly. You have 28 days from purchase to change the passport owner details - but it is not in itself a proof of ownership. You do not usually need the previous owner's consent to change the details - although you do so some PIOs. From your post I would wonder if the passport you have is the original - and if it matches his ID chip? Anyway - PM me.
