aND THIS HORSE IS SPITTING IMAGE OF HER ......

and height a women who looked at her other week said she would measure her up at 13.2 for bsja , Everyone has said no chance, I would have said she is 14hh but does have flat withers is there a more beneficial height to register her at as she will be sold when backed and schooled if i register her at 14hh would this be a problem selling her to somebody who is interested in bsja`ng her as she wouldnt make 13.2`s and is too small really for 14.2s.. No one has a stick :(

im guessing her breed @ conni x tb do I put that or unknown ? unknown seems abit sad :(

Her breeding is unknown - you don't have the pedigree details.

She should have been passported before sale - The law I think, is that it is illegal to SELL a horse without a passport.

Her height on her passport is an approximation - to jump BS as a pony she would have to have a JMB height certificate, which goes on a seperate page in the passport.

Im not passporting her with breeding society so i is breed without pedigree if known

she is a rescue pony so no passport been microchipped and passported today

i didnt think that so it wouldnt matter if passported at 14hh then jmb states 13.2

as previously mentioned she is a rescue horse so i would rather not

and as previuosly mentioned i think buckskin as a bright dun why buckskin may i asked , i was thinking more sooty dun

No need to be short FFION

I'm not being snooty I just don't see why you are wasting folks time when you are going to do what you thought originally (which is wrong, that is buckskin not dun) anyway.

please could youanswer my question then why is she buckskin not dun how can you say that without explaining why im asking for advice and it will be taken

it states dark dun on that horses profile not buckskin ? but im asking for advice not stating thats right!

That horse is a Connemara, they have always previously been registered as dun, the most recent genetic research confirms that dun does not appear in the connemara, but cream does, so any 'dun' connies are in fact Buckskin. The one in the photo is a sooty buckskin.

If your horse has a dorsal stripe, a darker head and leg bars, she is a sooty dun, if not she is a sooty buckskin.

Vet will fill in the form.

If microchipped at the same time then there's no need for markings to be noted.

Agree - the vet fills the form in, not the owner. The vet has to put their professional signature to it and leaves themselves open to problems if the owner is left to fill anything in.

However although there is no requirement to draw the ID chart if the horse is chipped it is always wise to do so anyway. Some bodies eg. BS won't register a horse without an ID chart so if you don't have it done at the time you may well have to get the vet back out to do it further down the line when you want to register the horse.

we have just had to have the vet out to change a passport/write to the passport agency it was registered with due to the mare being registered as black and white not brown and white as a foal-it was an easy mistake as she is so dark in colour
