If a horse has a microchip but no passport can be found and the PIO cant be found would you apply for a new one. If so as the horse has a microchip already can you take the markings yourself or does it vary from PIOs?
I would contact NED first and ask if they have a cross-link with m/chip nos.
As far as markings go it does vary with PIO's some breeders are able to do their own but my own breed society does not allow this - it has to be done by a vet.
