Passports - do you do "change of address" each time you move???

Just a quick question really as above. Wondered about this as horsey is still registered to previous address... but we keep moving like every 1-2 years and it gets a bit bureaucratic (and expensive) to change it all the time.

Oh, crikey... that means sending the passport all the way to Germany again, and sending quite a few Euros with it.

Maybe I should just put my name but in-laws address??? They are less likely to move soon-ish than us!!!
 
None of my passports, UK, French, Hungarian and German have any reference to 'change of address' only change of ownership.

Can someone quote the legislation re change of address.
 
my horses passport doesnt have my address in it..... infact .... its not even in my name as he came from Poland and the Polish sport horse people said they wouldnt change it into my name as he has left Poland! It has relevant pages on whether or not he can be eaten so its a legal passport so for now, its staying as it is!!
 
Umm, I was referring to UK Passports, may not be the same for German ones.
