Am I right in saying that every horse sold in the UK is meant to be sold with a passport? A friend has bought a new horse and the lady she bought her off has failed to provide her with it! Apparently its in the post but not sure she is ever going to see it now?! The horse was imported so surely it will have a passport somewhere? Any help welcome. Thanks in advance

You can't sell a horse without a passport. However you can buy a horse without a passport...............

Silly friend for handing money over without being given the passport. Didn't she ask to see it when she viewed the horse?

Didn't the vet ask to look at it at the vetting??

She wasn't at the vetting due to work commitments unfortunately!

Shes starting to wonder if this was actually a genuine sale now, She has her breeding papers but no passport! Friend was told by the seller that its either in their lorry or still abroad?!

Maybe she thought the Breeding Papers were the Passport - dafter things have happened.
