Apart form having my horses on the main yard and using their large fields
I have a separate paddock, approx 1 acre.
I use this when the horses on the main yard have to come in,
(mine can stay out in nice weather!)

The paddock wasnt used for about 3 years, we took it over last year, the grass was very long, brown and weedy.

We have pulled up lots of the weeds, it has been grazed by the horses and i muck picked every time they are in there.
The last few weeks ut has been used every night.

The grass is looking better but it is still short, brown and patchy.

What should i do now?
I plan not to use if for a few weeks now the horses can live out on the main yards land.

Can you recommend a grass seed and or fertilizer that would be suitable?

Thanks

I resowed(?) some of my field last year. Got some special seed from Scats that's designed for paddocks and it worked ok. Fenced off the area for a few weeks and it came away nicely. Not sure on fertiliser as I haven't used any.

Hope this helps!

Before you apply the fertiliser, remove the weeds either by hand or spray, ohterwise the fertiliser will be feeding the weeds aswell as the grass!:)
