It is with great saddness that I relay the message that Pat died this morning. Show Jumping was her life, she was a BSJA judge and ran Knebworth Park Show Jumping Club. Pat you were one in a million.

OMG! I know Pat really well, she had a puppy off me and said it changed her life. Have been meaning to phone her for weeks as she always did my rugs for me. I know she had not been well for some time but this is still a real shock, I am really saddened, she was a bit of a legend and will be sadly missed.

My week started badly and now it seems to have gotten even worse.

RIP Pat I will miss you dreadfully

Sleep tight my darling
xx

this is from my mum: it was with great sadness that I learned about the sad loss of "Aunty Pat". She was part of my riding life from the age of 4, I remember learning to ride at her stables in Knebworth - and how she took me hunting on a shetland pony at the age of 7, when I was blooded (how very non-pc!!) She followed my riding career right through to affiliated show-jumping and wembley qualifiers. Always a great friend of the family, a wonderful warm person and a true "one off", my love and prayers go out to her family and in particular, her sons, Adam and Joel - they broke the mould when they made you Aunty Pat, you will live in my heart forever. RIP xxx
