Finally managed to get to a show today! Took both boys along, William has a fat leg from a kick above the knee AGAIN and was just told to get on with it - I'm not falling for that one again
. First class was the NC, William was one of the first in which meant the warm-up was pretty quiet which is the biggest problem with him. Was a bit "proppy" which he seems to do indoors - I can't rely on him him to take me forwards consistently. Anyway, had the first down as he went too high and came down on the back bar, then jumped quite nicely until a double of uprights of a long five stirdes and he had the one going in down (but I saw Will Funnel do the same thing so didn't feel so bad
). Then Liberty: he went round pretty well until the line with the double when he had the previous oxer down and then trotted to the double
and consequently had the same fence down as W. He fell into trot going to the next to last too but cleared that. Resolved to focus more on the canter in the 2nd class!
On to the 115 and W stayed on the lorry as the warm-up was far too busy for him by then. Liberty jumped a much better round, unfortunately had the first JO fence down but must have been one of the fastest 4-faulters as I only heard one faster time.
Off to Belgium tomorrow for two days of house hunting!!! Must get booking those appointments...
