Anyone else doing Patchetts Fresstyle to music on 31st March. I am umming and ahhing whether to enter or not.

The treatment to my boys leg seems to be going ok. We are now up to 40 mins of walk and trot and I reckon we will be cantering by the weekend. Very tempted to enter but dont want to tempt fate!

Anyone else going?????
 
Oooo I am so tempted. I would have thought if we are cantering by the weekend, we would then have 2 weeks to build up fitness. I could always enter and then just forfeit my entry if he's not up to it.

Must come and say hi if we go. I am on a huge dapple grey boy. xxx

He has got DJD of the pastern joints and has been off since last October. Had treatment in early Jan which worked well and got him back out competing in Feb, then started to look bit unlevel again, so went back for another course of treatment 2 weeks ago. Had really bad reaction to it this time and went almost fracture lame!!!! Miraculously was sound within 2 days, and we have been walking and trotting for the last 10 days. He seems fine and hopefully can ramp up the work in the next few days.

Have never done FSM before so would love to give it a go. Have got my music sorted. I am really looking forward to riding to it. What music have you got???
 
Oh I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! What's your music? I've got my walk and canter music sorted (it's He's a Tramp and The Bare Necessities) but need to change the trot music. Worked out my floorplan on Friday, I really like it and can't wait to try it out, just hope I have enough time to practise it with the music! It's my first time doing FSM too

Mine is to music from 'Lord of the Dance'. It's so cool. Had a really lovely lady come out and sort it for me. She is coming back in the next week for me to ride through it and then I should be good to go. Sent my stuff off to BD yesterday so should get the stickers etc back before the 31st.

My floorplan is done, but may need to tweak some movements. Are you doing Novice or Ele?
 
Yeah I bet a floorplan would look great alongside the LOTR music!! Mine is quite tongue in cheek for the first one, just in case it doesn't go to plan hehe.
I'm doing the ele FSM and going to have a bash at M64 as well. How about you?
 
I am doing Novice. He only has 3 points now until he's out of Novice so want to make the most of it. I have been competing at Ele but now with the new points limit we can go back to Novice. Once he is back up and running I will change the floorplan to Ele.
I have asked for my time to be last in the class, so will probably bump in to you.
My boy loves the Irish music, it gives him a right spring in his stride. Got a feeling its going to be very busy though, as one of the last comps before the winters.
 
It's great the points limits have been increased, we were nearly out of ele but we've got a bit longer left now, like you say it's good to make the most of each level! I'll pm you before the 31st when we have our times

Have decided now not to go! :-(
Had conversation with my vet this morning and they have said that they aren't happy for us to canter for at least another week. I totally agree and wouldnt want to jeopardise all the work we have done to get him this far. There will be other shows. x
 
Ah shame that I won't get to meet you but yeah you defo gotta do what's right for your horsey, let me know if you're ever stressaging there later in the year!
