Hi im looking for a new farrier not that there is anything wrong with our current one he just doesnt have the time to spend with a well mannered but nervous to shoe mare and I dont want to have to sedate her everytime. She was fine having regular trims since she was young but recently being shod (this will be her fourth set) she just cant cope with the smoke. I would like her cold shod the next couple of times and ive done all the usual tying her next to others while they are being done, calm handling etc she has to be shod as shes very foot sore without so anyone who knows of a patient saint please pm their number thanks

I can recommend Adam Davenhill

He was fab with my impatient Clydesdale and both Adam and his team have been fantastic with my 2 year old and have been trimming him since a yearling and really helped getting my youngster used to being handled.
He's a Remedial Farrier and doesn't rip you off.
He covers a large area but I'm based in between Alsager and Crewe. I know he does the Shire Horse Center in Cotebrook so i'm sure he'd come out to you.

My farrier is brilliant, he lives in Preston but travels 30 odd miles to do mine on a Saturday - just asks for diesel money. He charges £20 for a trim - not sure how much for shoeing.

Martin Haigh 07825092429 He does theraputic and remedial trimming and shoeing and he's really great with all horses. :-D

Well i only have a trim every six weeks and he charges me £20 so i wouldn't like to quote an incorrect price but i think my friend pays approx £60/£65 for a set and £45 for the front pair.
Give him a call, he's a nice chap with a good team of lads and a really cute jack russel!!!
