Patterdale Puppy Has Gone

Well, some of you might have read my posts about my naughty little Patterdale and all the issues I was having with her. The general concensus was to re-home her as a working dog as she really didnt suit living with me. I live in the country but there really wasnt enough to stimulate her and walks were just not enough for her. So I advertised her and she went this morning to live on a small holding with other terriers, sleep in a nice barn and go out in the van with her new farrier owner. Really this is the best possible outcome for the little lady so I am glad of that. Had a little cry and feel bad, but I think I did the right thing. Good luck little Binky xx

What was her temp like? My farrier has a Patterdale and she is really fiesty, she snaps other dogs

apart from my Archie who is so damn soppy everything seems to like him!
 
Sounds like you did do the best for your dog, feel happy about that, although i know its hard.
We have a rescue Patterdale. He has to be out and about. They are working dogs and he still brings me things. Live rabbits which i let go and he looks gone out at me! Your dog would thank you if it could. What a lovely totally unselfish thing you have done in the best interest of your dog. Well done.
 
Thank you. I sent her off with a bag of her food and a letter saying how if anything went wrong or they didnt want her to let me know. Animals are such a huge responsibility and I worry about all of them. Going to miss her wiggly little self, but hopefully she will be having so much fun she will forget about us xx
 
A really tough decision to make but made in the best interests of the dog. It sounds the perfect new life for him and I'm sure he'd thank you if he could.

I'm so pleased. She sounds like shes found a great home.

Don't be sad, you've been very brave in just admitting that she needed a different life and you have found that for her to make her happy. You've been totally unselfish - I'd be really proud if I were you.
