..I was thinking earlier about a thread in The Tack Room (I think it was there....? or here...?) about uses for horsey items that aren't horsey.

We have a few old tatty rugs lurking about and the thought just struck me that I could make a couple of dog coats out of them!

Is there anywhere to get the patterns or shall I just borrow one and trust to luck...?

I'm all for recycling, and hate paying a fortune for anything!

Thanks in advance :D

I made my wee one a jumper out of an old jumper of mine, the pattern was just one I looked for on google. There seem to be lots of bloggers who have posted different patters and I sort of winged it a bit. Very much easier than making a dress or something for a human, so mine was just done by eye once I found a sole and basic pattern on there.

I haven't bothered with photobucket for a long time but I'll have a go tomorrow! My pattern was literally 2 pieces of paper so don't just go for the first you find cos some were mega complex! I ended up putting little legs on mine and a collar with the ribbed material on the jumper. I was dead chuffed and it was only an hours work!
