Patterns on quarters?

I always use a quarter marker on my horses rump but can anyone tell me how peole do the stripes down the horses bum!?

I would be very grate full for any info!

They use a comb, if you need to alter the width of the stripes you just remove some of the teeth.

stripes - by soaking the coat with a wet body brush, then using the brush to do stripes/triangles by brushing the hair sharply downwards. just takes a bit of practice.

or you can make ur own!! i did my old boss his initials (didnt want mine thought BE wouldnt look great!!) made a union jack for abroad, a harp for normal comps (where i work) and then did a PC one when we went to gatcombe!! says SHRH pony club

Yep done with a body brush. A comb can look too coarse, You can get brushes from Derbyhouse with copper bristles which are fab for the job.
