Hi, I've been told that my horse's sire (Pavarotti V/De Helle) is jumping to a very high standard in Holland at the mo, but i can't find any results- does anyone know if this is/was true and if so who he's ridden by. He's a Belgian Warmblood or Westfalian.... Thanks

Hi couldn't find too much info on him...lots of results for his progeny which seem to be doing very well. I did find out that last year he was 130th on the leading sires list for the United States Equestrian Federation out of 750 stallions. Interestingly he is higher on the list than the likes of Landgraf I, Corrado, Darco and Burggraaf.

It says that Pavarotti was born in 1989 so i doubt that he's still competing. He is Westfalen & Approved Dutch Warmblood.

I don't think so

he was born in 1989 and has no current recorded CSI results since 2002. However he does have a number of progeny competing sucessfully at present. Fall Khaeer Grand prix CSI ** and Jasmine des Tourelles CSI ** 1.30m in 2007.

There is a KWPN stallion Pavarotti (KWPN 1997) by Flemmingh ridden by Todd Minikus who is proving very successfull chestnut 1st 1.50 Two phases ***** CSIO La Baule
2nd Grand Prix Mixed comp. ***** CSIO Wellinton
4th 1.45 Speed and handiness ***** CSIO San Gallo
8th Nations Cup Team comp. (jo) ***** CSIO Rome

maybe they have mixed the two up?

He was born and registered a Westphalien, but approved into the BWP studbook (and stood at the Van de Helle stud in Belgium) as a young horse. He was approved into the jumping section of the syudbook, and had many succesful offspring in this area, but he was also used with much success in Belgium as a dressage sire. His approved son Quavarotti van de Helle caused a bit of a sensation in young horse dressage classes. Here's the stud's page on him , if you're having trouble understanding it I can give you a hand later, but off to do my own now
