Some of you may know that I've finally found a lovely rider for Marvs (gelding on yard that needed a rider). She's so good with him.

Sometimes he's just plain rude and you can't calm him for anything although new rider is brilliant with him but sometimes, you can't get him out of his fears... is known to have climbed out of the stable if not happy - white with sweat, front legs over stable door... arrrggghhh!!!

Read some things about it online but it sounds too good to be true. Please does anyone have experience with it and what is it? Just read about it in H&H mag today and wondered if there was much experience here? Might help us with Mr. Insecure.

My understanding is that you dab it on yourself and it masks your 'anxiety' smells.

You do however need to be confident in your body language.

Thanks for that Pastie2... we'll just have to keep mothering him.

eggs - it is wierd isn't it. Probably give it a miss...

Thanks both :)

I got given some and it was useless, actually still have the part used bottle here.Pm your address and i will send it to you if you wish.

Someone posted on this very recently so do a search and you will get some more feedback.

I bought some & it didn't make any difference at all to my 3. However my YO says it works on his horse although what he means by 'works' is that she smells him coming but it makes no difference to her difficult temperament at all!

I don't know anyone who has used it and it actually calms their horse, but they are all different so it may work for some.

Global herbs - supercalm or their firework one is supposed to be stronger.

My gelding is stressy in the stable, rude on the ground and when he naps you have little/no brakes. I started using it a week after I'd changed yards and was left with a horse that would hack without napping, gentle on the ground and was so chilled. I took him off it due to not being worked and he's gone back to how he was with other handlers although still seems to be gentle round me (think he senses that Ive hurt my back).

I was pessimistic about it working but there was a remarkable difference in him. Give it a go. If you don't see a difference, send the tub to me! :)
