Paying kennels/dog sitters....

I KNOW this is a stupid question, but it has been so long since I last put the dogs in kennels.... do you pay when you drop off, or when you pick them up? And would you pay a dog sitter in the same way? Having brain failure here, sorry...

I work at a boarding kennels and we say customers can pay either when they drop the dog off or when the collect them. This gives them more flexibility as some people have a friend/ dog walker/ family member drop off or collect their dog and they might want them to have to deal with payment etc. We do get a rare few who want to pay before the dog is even there! That's the same for most of the kennels where I am I think but I'd just give the kennels (or dog sitter) a call to see what they prefer
