PAYPAL

Please dont accept paypal, it looks to be cleared straight away infact its not,the money may appear in your bank but they can do a chargeback at any time. You will loose the car and your money. Tell them cash on collection only or a cleared cheque first.

You have to be careful with paypal. There have been stories in the press of paypal taking the money back after the buyer's credit card refused to pay up. They take the money back out of your account leaving you with no item and no money. If you want the car gone by Tuesday, the buyer has time to get cash from his bank. That is the only way you can be 100% sure to get your cash. Good Luck. Just a thought- you will also pay commission to paypal, something you will not have to do if you take cash..

Apart from the fact that the buyer can do a chargeback & you can lose both car & payment there are other payments that you will have to pay. You will have to pay the Ebay insertion price, end fee payment & you also have to pay for the priviledge of your buyer paying by Paypal....as someone has already said either cash on collection or cleared cheque

I'd not accept a cheque as they can bounce long after they have cleared, cash or banker's draft. Definately not paypal for a large amount of dosh.

Unless - it clearly states that it is waiting for funds to clear, which happened to me. However it does state this clearly and I have just waited until the funds have cleared before sending the goods off.
