PC Manual - or something else??

Hi all wise ones...
I want to get a horse and pony management "bible" for an 11 yo girl. From my younger days I recall the PC manual was good but a bit old fashioned; giving a lot of info I never really needed in my modern 1970/80's lifestyle!
I don't want to spend a fortune, so what books are out there that you would recommend. (Am hoping they will join the PC, but am not in a position to directly influence.)

Hi, the manual has been updated and looks more contemporary, you can't go far wrong with it.

I believe the pc manual has just been revamped.

It's usually about £13 & I love mine!! (well it's actually the daughters!

Make sure you buy the latest updated edition - 14th - it came out just before Christmas. It's been very well revised and is even more readable with more illustrations and a lot more content. Just ordered it on Amazon for £11 and change. Feel a bit guilty not getting it from the PC but t'was cheaper on Amazon... Hope they take the hint and join a PC now!
