PE buster trio rug has split.

I brought my horse the set of buster trio rugs with all the liners in September and she started wearing them end of Sept when the weather got cool She wears it all the time apart from obv when she is being worked or travelling in trailer (in stable and out in field) and it fits lovely and is great. It has not been washed yet as it is not really hugely dirty, our fields have been good. However i noticed on the velcro on the liner yesterday there was fluff on the front chest strap velcro. on further investigation there is a hole/tear on the inside of the outer rug about 3 inches back form where all the stitching is for the front clips etc.

it has not caught anywhere or pulled and is not on the point of shoulder or anything.

Am i expecting too much for it not to rip, tear or generally be something wrong with it halfway through its first winter.

I have e mailed PE about it to see what they say. It cost £256 for the set.

Bought not brought.

I would wait & see what PE say, maybe a faulty rug. I have never heard of any issues with them but sometimes things slip through the net.

They have a FB page with loads of photos and comments. I'd write it on there and see what they say. Hopefully they will replace or fix but they always seem to reply and comment.

TBH after four months' almost constant wear you can't expect the manufacturers to accept it was a faulty rug, sorry. Rugs do tear (although yours seems to have torn in a very odd place!); going four months without damage is pretty good!

Thats what i thought it just seemed an odd place for it to go. I realise she has worn it for 4 months full time but yes it is just an odd place.
