One of my fields has a burn with the most brilliant pea gravel banks and rough stony beaches and bottom-I feed hay on them and the difference to the ponies feet is remarkable.
But they are only on it a few months per year.
My other two fields can both be bottomless and only one is mine. The only options for an area would be either on soil on some sort of matting? or on tarmac (would have it very deep) or on a small part of the field that only has a couple of inches of top soil on top of stone.
Has anyone put one in on different surfaces? Ground tends towards the wet here, it would be very useful as I struggle to condition feet otherwise
