Hello Everyone.

I have noticed a pea sized lump on our pony's belly about 2" behind girth. It is hard and I can get my fingers around it totally so it's not attached to the muscle in any way.

My initial thoughts are that it is a bite. It hasn't grown or moved in the past few days, in fact it hasn't changed at all. One day it wasn't there, the next day it was. She shows no discomfort when I touch it and I wondered if any one of you hugely knowledgeable horsey peeps might have any thoughts as to what it could be and any advice as to what I should do - if anything.

Thanks in advance - tea and biscuits can be provided! :)

Hi, my horse had a little lump on the side of his belly this year, vet had a look and said it was a scaroid, as it was pea size we treated with some cream and its now gone.
