I’ve been looking at various new hats and am now very confused 🤔

Hats used to be standard jockey skulls which could have a velvet cover added when necessary or you had additionally a smart velvet show hat.

The choice now seems never ending but also seems to include medium/classic and wide peaks. Why would you need a wide peak - unless playing polo and how would you decide which to wear and why?

I'm old fashioned and think wide peaks look weird. Either skull cap & silk or 'normal' shaped hat with peak but either MIPS is best. I also go for a light well ventilated hat with a removeable lining but that's a very personal choice. The main thing is a good fit for your head!

I broke into the wide peak trend last year and love mine on sunny and rainy days!

Honestly I think it looks better on me than my regular peak of the same helmet (CO Luna). However I do find that some wide peak helmets look absolutely ridiculous.

I have come around to the wide peak and really like the look. However I tried one on and I looked ridiculous so have stuck to classic peak. Lovely on other people though!

I bought my first wide peak last month and I'm obsessed with it! Also can't stand riding in skull caps anymore, my head gets far too sweaty and it's uncomfortable!
