Hiya, has anyone got any experiences of a horse with a Pedal bone Cyst. My horse has been diagnosed with a tubular shaped cyst in the pedal bone. He has been operated on, and they went through the hoof wall, and drained it, and scraped the necrotic bone away. He has been on antibiotics for 2 weeks, and bute. The vet came out today and said he was looking very good, and can now go out in a small paddock. My big worry is, can it come back. The vet said hopefully not, but there is still a gap there, until the pedal bone grows back, and that can take up to 10 weeks. i am so worried he will go lame again, so any positive feed back would be most welcome, thank you.
