My New Forest pony 'Rocky' has just been diagnosed today with a pedal wing fracture. The fracture is around 3 weeks old and (he has was also diagnosed with navicular in Aug this year and we thought that was still the problem.) the vet has given me the option of leaving it alone and putting him on 4 months box rest or operating and putting a screw in to secure the fracture and then 3-4 months box rest.
Just would like to know if anybody has had a horse with pedal wing fracture and how it was treated.
