My horse is stabled and on shavings -every day his bed is soaked he just seems to pee an awful lot more than he used too .He is approx 15 yrs old ,drinks a bucket full of water most days and eats well . Do you guys think this is normal his bed is always much wetter than the others on similar bedding .

Seems normal. One of mine drinks about 3/4 of his bucket (20litres) at night and pees gallons and gallons, he is five. The other drinks a whole bucket and half a smaller one and doesn't pee half as much - he's thirteen. I can only assume that Ari is drinking more in the field than FB and this is what makes the difference.

Have you changed his feed at all? Or has the weather changed a lot?

Where are you in Spain, by the way?

If the weather has gotten hotter then yes its normal, its cooling etc and peeing as a result of drinking more.

At the same time though, he is at the age which is the common age for cushing's disease to start, of which polyuria/polydypsia (weeing and drinking more) is a clinical sign. to test this you can get a blood test done etc.... If you are concerned I would recommend getting this done just to check.
