What's your opinion on them?
I do not wish to buy one, just been pootling around and thought they look and sound quite sevear (sp)?
What do you think? Would you use one?

Sister has used, and still does use a peewee bit on large horses with not much room in their mouths. The clydex had a nasty habit of turning and the french link snaffle would slide through her mouth, the peewee worked wonders with her. The current IDx Hanno likes it very much and is much less of a 'leaner' in it. It isn't a harsh bit of itself, particularly if you use it on the mildest setting. Sister also lent it to a friend who was having problems with persuading her novice eventer to turn, it solved the problem and she was able to return to her more 'normal' bit.

Not in the slightest bit severe! Lovely bit which I hack, hunt and jump in. I have found that horses who are a bit funny or sensitive or evasive in the mouth really settle well in these.
