Could Pegasus cubes be responsible for my 4 yr old turning from a nice relaxed horse one day into a raving lunatic the next - he's only had a handful for the last couple of days after hes been worked but tonight when I brought him in from the field he was in such a strop and lashed out at the stable wall and then tried to bite me twice - which he has never done before.

I wouldn't have thought so... my 4 year old has been on them for ages and have increased to a scoop per feed at times and never had any problems.... there's really not much in them at all... has your grass come through after recent rain? it could be quite sweet. OR he could be hungry or just feeling good...or just testing you.

I find they do have a tendancy to heat up the odd horse! I gave them to my TB for a brief while and she went nuts on them so took her off of them and put her on Spiller's Cool Concentrate and she went back to her old self. I think there is barley in them, I can't feed anything with barley in it.
