Hi,
Advice please - I do in-hand showing with my horse and in the classes we enter I have been told to be 'correct' she needs to be in a pelham.... however, she really doesn't like it :-( I have tried a straight bar and one with a port, neither any good. Her usual bit is a loose ring French link snaffle so do you think it would help if the Pelham was jointed or would that make it even harsher (she has a sensitive mouth)......

Any suggestions?

Personally- I would stick with whatever bit she is comfortable in.

You will be moved down the line faster for a horse who is messing about, unhappy in its mouth, than because you don't have it in a pelham.

In order to be truly correct I suspect you should be in a double anyway, not strictly a pelham.
