Pentosan

Just wanted to find out if anyone has ordered and used products from the the company First Choice Equine. They have cheaper Pentosan on their offering of available medications. I have many horses on Zycosan right now and trying to find a cheaper alternative, but I am also concerned about the quality of their product. The horses I care for are priceless. When I looked on their concentration amount of Sodium pentosan polysulfate, it is half that of Zycosan, so would need to give 10 ccs per horse rather than 5 ccs per horse (but still cheaper).

This is such a big deal to me and wanted to get any insight before ordering. My veterinarian does not order from them, so could not be of help.

I get mine from Equine Health Direct as I found them to be the cheapest after eVet Drug disappeared. I use Cartrophen and give a 10ml IM every month.

I found they were the cheapest for Lari's bute last year on prescription too.

Yes they are the cheapest for bute as well. Although bute has gone up in price and they've recommended a prescription for 2 alternatives
