Does anyone know this area? I've seen a house for sale there that looks promising, thanks.

Absolutely beautiful area. I think I know the house too and it's very sweet. Fields are quite hilly. Up a very steep hill so will be difficult to get to in snow/ice and absolutely nothing around - perhaps five/six houses and a set of little cottages that are owned by the caving club so not actually lived in. Nearest small shop is about five minutes drive. Pub about the same. Ystradgynlais about 10 minutes away and here there is a big tescos. There isn't any access to the mountains on horse from penwyllt, but the other side of the road there is bridleway access to the mountains. I live just outside Ystradgynlais, so any more questions, just ask.

thanks! Yes lovely house it's this one http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property...5;jsessionid=D1AAD6239819DA832A54C1CF9E532FB3 but there is a footpath going through it which puts me off. However love the look of the area!

The footpath won't be widely used at all. I wouldn't let that put you off at all.
