Not really sure why I'm posting this but might as well! I used to ride at a RS called "The Hacienda" in Gendey Hill, Lincs. This was about 5 or 6 years ago now. There was a 15hh piebald cob there named Billy - he was a real sweetie who I loved riding and I was just wondering if anyone knows him now and could let me know what happened to him? As far as I can remember the riding school bought or loaned him from someone who wasn't doing anything with him (he'd just been bumbling around in a field the whole time), and they did a lot of schooling with him to get him up to scratch and he made a really nice RS horse. When I used to ride him he was about as manouverable as a plank but very willing, and he had just learned how to do a turn on the forehand which he was so proud of that he would show it off at every opportunity! He couldn't jump (that is to say, he's never been taught), although maybe someone's taught him to now.
Anyway, after I'd been having lessons there for a few months his original owners took him back (which is why I think he must have been loaned rather than bought) and I had to leave the RS because all the other ponies there were too small for me to ride. I would really love to know how Billy is getting on now because I loved him so much - I really trusted him and I made more progress in a few months on him than I did in 6 years of riding lessons on other ponies! I learned to canter on him and he gave me so much confidence - if I ever found out he was for sale, and I had enough money, I would snap him up in an instant!
Sorry for the very long rambley post... basically I just wondered if anyone knew where he might be now?
