Me and OH are going for a long weekend away this weekend.

OH is racing his car on Saturday and Sunday, we have arranged to stay on the sunday night so we can spend the day doing something on the monday. We are staying in Shewsbury.

We were thinking about going on a ride on the Monday - something fun like a pub ride or something. I only have one horse at home so we dont get to ride out together and thought it would be nice to arrange a ride so we can enjoy it together. Preferably with some canters, gallops included in the ride :)

We were thinking about a 2/3 hour ride. Have phoned up some but as its the summer holidays they were booked up with pony club etc.

Does anyone know of any good places to enquiry? dont know exactly where we are staying in Shewsbury but would probably travel around 40 mins to find somewhere.

You can state the approx length of hack you want to go, difficulty etc and it comes up with some choices and maps.

Another option is the Isle at Bicton that do B&B and accommodate horses, they are holding a funride on 15th August and you may well be able to hack around their estate (around 1000 acres off road).
