OMG my yard owner is trying to sell her gelding (horse is pretty crackers!) which has had huge problems that included rearing, going over backwards, bucking, kicking, destroying other horses rugs etc. a change of saddle last week after a long break (8-9 weeks) frm badly western to fitted english has meant its no done anything major. now being sold and they rode it for an hour before the people came, rested it for 30 mins then let the people ride it for another 1hr 30. horse seemed to go well but they have mentioned nothing of the vices which can't just dissapear!! plus they said that it can jump and do dressage (jumped for the first time with a rider with the testees) just because it didn't no otherwise

I think it partly comes down to how much you care about your horse!
If i had a problem case i would want him to go to someone that would understand and help- not end up in hospital!
I am far to honest for my own good but i dont think thats a bad thing!

it booted me in the field. it tried to get higher up but i put my hand in front of my face. lucky it didn't have back shoes or it would have broken my hand. was only trying to open an electric fence up to let another horse through!

Its very worrying to know that there are people out there who seem so friendly and genuine to talk to could do such a thing to someone, someone who has worked so hard and saved up to buy a horse and be totally lied to, not to mention the fate of the poor horse, no doubt be passed from pillar to post until someone who has got the time, money, patience and most of all experience in trying to put the horse right if possible.

Totally unprofessional, this horse could be the death of someone or its self in the wrong hands.

It must be hard to stand by and watch this happen, its not like you can say much if its your YO neither I guess, but how long can you bite your tongue? I don't envy your position at all and don't know what advice to offer neither. They will no doubt get there comeuppance one day.

Given what you've previously said about your yard and the people there I should find another place asap.
