Just making a point, went to Wix the weekend and accidently left some rugs, somebody has told us they were sent to the office and someone else has claimed them. I do think people shouldn't take things which don't belong to them. Thiefs I call them

But do you not check the area as you drive away that you havent left anything? A hoof pick, or a brush, (or spurs!) I can understand because they are so small, so wouldnt necessarily spot them in your mirror, but to not notice 'some rugs' laying where you have been parked, I am sorry, but that seems more careless than anything.
But i do agree, people taking things that do not belong to them is wrong.

Dont get me started on this.....!!! Just left a livery yard due to folks stealing my stuff all the timefrom little things like treats, to bags of unopened treats , un opened bottles of coat skin, brand new head collar, £129 KK bit.... The list goes on..!! Drove me mad, I work hard to buy my stuff, don't mind some one taking the odd treat or carrot etc utility stealing whole bags of them and bottles of lotions etcall the time is a joke..!! Buy your own stuff you minks..!!! If you can't afford a horse don't have one.

My spurs went walking from inside the horsebox, they were a prize and had not been used :( Yes, I do check when I leave but for someone to deliberately 'claim' rugs knowing that they didn't belong to them... Have heard similar with people collecting rosettes/money/prizes that don't belong to them either!

have you noticed that the habitual thief tends to be the one who doesn't need to financially?

we have one.............even if your name is on it makes no difference and they can't see the problem, they only borrowed it for 6 months with out asking and yes it now seems to be broken...................! but thats not their problem and you are being unreasonable being a bit pissed off:mad::(

Dont get me wrong, I do agree with you that people shouldnt claim what is not thier property.
Reading my post back I can see I have presumed alot, but I still cant see how you can accidently leave 'some rugs'.

I dont really get how anyone could just take stuff and not feel the guilt? cause id always have it on the back of my mind- was at a show and the lady next too us had a rug and banages stolen- if you can afford to compete why the heck would you want too steal poo stained years old travel stuff?..
