I am looking for a place on a nice yard in the Blackmore Essex area. I know that there are quite a lot of private yards in the area, I just wondered if anyone on here knew of someone with a nice yard and a menage that have a spare stable they would be willing to let out. I don't need any services, but there must me at least a couple of over horses on the yard, as don't want him on his own. Please pm any details and phone numbers. Thanks

I would say have your name on waiting lists all the decent yards in that area have waiting lists. If they have empty stables then,in most cases alarm bells should ring, especially in that area

I have been told by a farming friend that all these places have horsey facilities, but I think must of them are private. Does anyone know of any of these and if they would take on 1 livery. Fithlers farm highwood road, Paslow common farm, Nine ashed road owned by Padfields I have been told, Paslow cottage apparently has quite a large yard nine ashes road, elm cottage perryfield matching green, there is a yard on sparows lane just of the 1060 near white roding, Ongar road by junction for chivers road backs on to picketts wood large yard stondon massey area, also a smaller yard on little laver road opposite a large pond. Any help finding phone numbers, or if anyone knows people that own these places and could ask them, it would be very much appreciated :) Thanks

Fithlers (sp) is a DIY yard I think. Fab hacking but not sure of facilities and I think there full. Not sure of the others I think they must be private

Fithlers in highwood have stopped doing livery now,so I was told by a mate. There is a yard next to it where I do a lot of teaching but they are not taking liveries as we have too many horses already. The dressage yard that's near the 414 is ment to be nice but I was told its a bit pricey but may be worth a look :)

Thanks for that conniemara 1 have will phone up that place in a min. Looks like my perfect yard :). Thanks for finding out neep and what dressage yard bu 414? is it Paslow hall? as went and looked at that, wasn't secure enough for my liking when it was that close to the main road, and was a bit pricey for what it was.

Can't seem to get hold of her at the moment, tried phoning but no answer, so left a message/text, and sent her an email this morning. Hopefully she will get back to me, do you know if it's expensive?

Ah at least you got hold of her! Have you been to have a look? I think the individual turnout, the menage with a new good surface, back up on site, control over what hay and bedding you buy in and at what price is quite a good thing! Also the fact it's an american barn, the fencing I assume is quite decent as it's a new yard, the fact there is CCTV- I'd say have a look before you rule it out!
