Hope someone can help a bit.

I need to know how much diesel it cost per acre to cut, turn and bale hay this year. No point in going per bale this year as the yield was very low.

A friend did it last year and this year and last year refused payment. This year i know it will be the same if I ask but I really want to at least cover the cost of his diesel. His tractor is medium sized. Not huge but not a small one either.

We all do favours for each other round here but nevertheless I am not happy he should be out of pocket.

Also if anyone has any ideas how to repay without offending I would be grateful- bar prostitution LOL! That wouldnt work LOL! I was thinking maybe tickets for a show in London maybe.

It is a start! Thanks.:) Still not sure £1 a bale would cover diesel though.
It might.

Field cut for hay is about 6 acres. So not huge. But usually produces enough for us plus some to sell. This year I have had to buy in as we only got just over 100 bales.:(
