Have bitten bullet and going to take stroppy madam out this season. Any advice on who best to go out with?

Went with Y and A North last year but have been told Middleton is better country, Y & A South also good and Badsworth/Bramham too! Confused.

any thoughts?
Want good jumping country. :)

Ive never been with the middleton, but I have heard some shocking reports about them. I've been with Y&A N and S, I think both packs are very friendly and their days great, I prefered south though, not sure why, more to go at, more fences and more gutsy hunters. B&BM have some amazing days out, I visited them quite a lot last season, but you have to choose your meets carefully with them, some are very boring and you hardly leave the ground, whereas meets like the Frickley (where they also run their teamchase) and s super wednesday meet after xmas show you the best of the hedge country, they are a super pack. If you have time do try and come out with us- the Rockwood Harriers- our webby is in my signature. Rx

Ah, Thanks Rosiie - might give the south a go then and poss B&BM too - perhaps I'll find out the best jumping days first! :)

I did hear that the Middleton can be quite sniffy and unfriendly tbh

Would love to come down and visit RockwoodHarriers sometime - I've heard some awesome reports!

the other option, if you don't mind a bit of a longer trail are the bilsdale or the hurworth (both north of york) bilsdale are a bit steadier, being up on the moors usually on a Tuesday and either forestry or lowland days on Saturdays. we are renowned as one of the friendliest hunts in the uk, and the oldest! visitors cap is £40 i think. see Bilsdale Webpage
the hurworth have a lot of hedges and hunt jumps and tend to have faster days. i don't like it as much, but i think its just cos my horse gets so over excited about the prospects of jumping out hunting! visitors cap is £60 i think. see Hurworth webpage
