Easy to feed?

Value for money?

Did you get the desired results?

Am looking at they're 'ready mash extra' and having spoken to them am thinking of giving them a try. Discuss ;)
 
Having seen a recommendation here several months ago, I have been giving a tb mare the 'extra' for a couple of months. Bought her at auction, in foal and with foal at foot. Very poor condition. She loves the food and has put on weight and looks much better. A week after starting her on it she was galloping and bucking round the field. Beforehand we had never seen her do more than a walk! :D
Would certainly recommend trying it.
 
My Mum uses the Ready Mash and has done every winter for her 22 yo TB x. It's very economical, easy to feed (needs soaking for 10 mins with cold water) and keeps the weight on him without sending him doolally.
She's just about to go up to the Ready mash Extra now he's a little older.
I also love the Forage N Fibre for my show cob - low energy and low calorie, great stuff!
Sumo also good for skin and keeping weight on.

This was over the period of about two months. I have had to take her off it because she put on so much weight she is now too fat.
I love their feeds and am thinking of going onto their Solutions Mash which is a high fibre feed with no cereal or alfa as we're now barefoot. But for weight gain, the Readymash Extra is a godsend.

Phoenix had only just been weaned, she has put more weight on since then.
 
I feed my 32 yr old ready mash extra with good results, she's actually put weight on this winter instead of losing it. It's good stuff :-)
 
The only thing I would add is it does have a high molasses content - but they call it something else, so if you are concerned about cushings etc, probably not so good.
 
Ah thanks guys :) Pictures look great Snooz & Holly - can't believe the difference in both of them! Did you feed it alone or with chaff? I currently use a chaff but i know you don't have to with this feed, just a bit concerned about the boy inhaling his dinner... :o

Live in Northern Ireland and Rowan Barbary is not stocked over here, but I try and stock up every time I go to England, it is brilliant feed, I am trying to get them to start redoing the ready mash with carrots (real ones) in it, they also believe it or not did one with bananas in. I quoted the comment given, as the best thing to do, if you have a query is to ring them and speak to Becky Hollows, who will try and answer in queries you have, also they have a face-book page and a very good website. PS if anyone from Northern Ireland is travelling to main-land in a vehicle over the next few weeks, could you pm me, I am trying to get more feed over here, and for two old ponies it is too expensive for me on my own to bring a pallet over with one of the transport firms...
