Can someone tell me If the policy on the 4x4 insurance covers anyone else to drive it other then the registered owner please

well, mine does, but it depends on individual policy, so best check yours to know for sure

No-one but those listed by name on a policy will be covered
There are some exceptions such as traders policies

My quad 4x4 covers any driver and my trailer(with my permission)! on the road too(I assume they have to hold full Licence etc)!

My defender yes but my range rover no because it's supercharged they would only cover it for my OH and I .

Definatly on my defender it's any driver over 25.

And my 7.5 ton lorry its any one with apporiate licence but I hate anyone driving my lorry so I have never allowed anyone to do it.

That's not what I said, the question was does it cover anyone else than registered owner, I answered yes, any other named driver.
As an aside, on the other car I have an ''any driver over 21'' policy with Norwich Union (or aviva as they are known nowadays). I am aware that they don't issue new policies like that, but still honour existing ones.
