Ok, so in my previous thread I asked about some boots from derby house, and reviews were they were small around the calf so I ordered some. They came today and they are absolutely huge. Not even multiple pairs of thick socks can cure the problem. So now I'm stuck on what to buy, I would love some long boots, however after spending hours searching it just isn't going to happen. I'm a 13" calf with socks on and 18" from floor to the back of my knee. Not one place can I find any boot with those measurements under £150 tops.
Although not ideal as I need something I can quickly change into I'm looking at some new half chaps to go with my lace up ariats. I love the style with the high knee and slim line look. I'm thinking ariat concord?

What does everyone else with slim legs do? :)

For riding boots the cheapest on a practically made to measure basis are Brogini Roma 2011 at £175. Perfect fit for me, with two sizes smaller if I needed. Euro 40 is true to size. They will exchange if you get the measurements wrong.

I have same problem, I need men's length in kids width. Everyday riding I wear cheap ladies small chaps, with thick knee high socks to make up for extra width & lack of length. Got some leather gaiters I got years ago & got a saddler to adjust for the odd occasion I need to be smart.

I had some beautiful made to measure ones, that cost a small fortune in my pre parent days. In his early years, my dog ate them. I was heartbroken!

I have 51cm height and 32/3cm width which I think is 21" and 13" width.

I have some Ariat Concorde mine are small tall but I need xs calf really as they are quite baggy - had them 2 years now but they have lasted well and I wear them to muck out all yard work and hardly ever clean them!

I really want some Brogini's but from their website they don't do my height width .
The only boots long enough are men's ones! I was lucky enough to get some mountain horse supreme's which MH said were the last pair in the uk as they don't ship them over anymore as no one in the UK wants them!

I'm nearly 6ft and only 8.5st. My lanky legs r like pipecleaners :)

Long boots r always like wellies on me.

I had Ariat jodh boots and gaiters which fitted great. Now I live in and adore my Ariat Bromont Insulated long boots. Theyr comfy, cosy and smart. Theyr not welly boot like :)

Overgrown pony - what size are your bromonts? I tried some on at a local saddlery but they were too big but I suppose they don't stick all variations of width / height.

I've just looked up ariats sizing, xx small width is 12.5", but only 15.5 high. They do x small tall which is 13.5 width & 19.5 high. I'm a freak though, my calves are under 12" even in jods. Not like I'm splashing out on ariats anyway, not even gaiters if I still have to pad with socks. Tredstep do leggings with 12" width but only 17" height, 13" width go up to 18" length, but 19" height only comes in widths over 14". What's really annoying is that everyone makes stuff in extra short & extra large, but not in tall & x small.

I have ridiculously skinny legs which is such a pain lol. I have Brogini riding boots, Ariat gaiters and boots, and Ariat grasmeres for general wear. The grasmeres were the only country boot type things I could get to fit. And I have to pull them in as tight as they will go. Even then they're a little loose with some jods on.

Ariat are expensive but worth it IMO :)

I believe that the website says that Brogini will make to measure for the really extreme measurements, like 32/51 but you cannot return them if they don't fit.

I've got a pair of shires Norfolk long boots, the do skinny sizes and are quite reasonable. They were the only ones I could get to fit my skinny legs.

My calves are 12.5" and I find that Ariat Bromonts fit very well but I have small feet (size 3) so it may be that the widths differ according to the foot size?
