Hi I have had my new horse for 8 weeks now I had him vetted and he passed he did however have mud fever on his left hind and right four and this was treated
about 3 weeks ago it flailed up on his left hind swollen and sore to touch this was cleaned and he was given bute which he had an extreme reaction to and it gave him colic but mud fever cleared up
however this morning his right four has swollen and is sore to touch I have bathed it and applied lotion fingers crossed it will be ok
however I'm wondering weather this reaction is to his turn out boots since his flair up on the hind legs I've been leaving his back boots off no re occurrence but I've been leaving his front boots on do you think that his boots could be the cause of his irritation the weather has been warm don't know if they have been rubbing him when his legs get hot and sweaty
has anyone else had this problem what boots do you use if any and what would be the best treatment thank you. For reading xxx
