I got Pepsi 5 years ago, in the state as seen. He was suffering with bot/worm infestation, emaciation, teeth issues, chronic eye infections, canker and overgrown hooves, front knees turned in from arthritis (so bad he had never been able to have his feet lifted, or he'd rear in pain, hence the canker)... I have an awesome vet, used devils claw and magnetic wraps for his knees. He now comes out led on every ride we go on, he's worth every penny ? He had been working in a riding school up until a few months before I got him, at 26 ?received_562009544443969.jpegreceived_1344167565779711.jpegreceived_316174649735132.jpeg

How lucky he was when he came to you!! My boy was out on loan from his breeder and on a routine check in July the breeder found him with a full winter coat and every bone visible. She took him home within an hour. Scary part is the loaner was an equine vet in training o_O

she was worried about laminitis, so him and his (confirmed) laminitic companion were put into a concrete pen and given a handful of soaked hay to fight over. Hes not really the sort to fight....lami pony never seemed to loose any weight funny.

Never sure why these little ponies aren't treat like normal horses ??
A fb friend took on a miniature Shetland, it had been kept on very soft ground continually and it's legs were deformed and it's hooves overgrown, but with exercise, farrier treatment and correct care, it's now blooming
