Pictures Percy update

Hi all,

Percy is now a lightly backed 4 year old who will spend the summer hacking and doing a few arena hires before having the winter off/maybe hacking a bit, once the nights draw in.

I had his teeth checked before he went away for backing but he’s a little mouthy and throwing his head a bit so I think I need to get his wolf teeth out asap, kicking myself for not doing it before but vet said it should be fine. But other than that he is super chilled out and golden!

And also so handsome! Final photo is of him as a baby.

I’m away in Cyprus with work at the moment and can’t wait to get back to see him!

He’s 16hh maybe just pushing 16.1. He was 15.3 when he went for backing but has muscled up a bit, he’s not as big as his Mum. He’s a really nice size actually!

No no no no no. He is not 4, he's about 1 and still frolicking about the paddock with his mum. I refuse to believe he's all grown up. He looks absolutely lovely Abi.

I hate to say it as you've said he's a really nice size but Charlie was very similar to him and he grew 2" between 6 and 8!

If he ends up 16.2 or even 16.3 I will cope! He’s much less heavy set than his Mum, despite looking like a unit so won’t seem as big.

When he came out all legs with huge knees I was worried I had created a 17hh plus monster

Oh wow he is gorgeous. I do love a grey. What is his breeding please. I hope you have lots of fun with him.
