Permethrin?

Hi, I have read about something called Permethrin and how it can be used to treat Sweet Itch, does anybody know anything about this & where I can get hold of it?

Coopers Fly Repellent Plus contains Permethrin.

Its a synthetic pyrethroids derived from Chrysanthemum

Basically a neurotoxin for insects and too much of it will kill them. However it does not repel - so they wander up whiff it in and then drop dead

It is not the best pyrethroid out there and many better ones deployed on cows (cypermethrin).

It also kills cats
