The vet came out on Monday to my boy who has had a persistent dry cough for over a week and a small amount of blood in his urine for a few days. She could find no real reason for the cough, lungs OK, lymph glands fine, and a thorough examination under sedation of his penis showed up no problems, blood and urine samples were taken. He is not unwell as such, eating well etc. so I am now waiting for test results, scoping his bladder has been suggested as a possibility. The vet didn't think the cough and blood in urine are connected, of course although he was coughing his head off before the vet got there, he didn't cough once one she was there. but has anyone seen anything similar in a horse and what was the results?
