A DG from Australia made a very interesting comment about anyone taking part in competition had to have personal accident insurance. This sounds like a good idea, not sure if BE or BS have this or not, as I am not a member of either.
There is some Personal Accident insurance as part of the BHS Gold Membership, but I, in common with lots of other people I suspect, am not exactly sure what it covers. I think that if you are a member of the Countryside Alliance you get personal accident insurane for hunting.
It is actually a very good point. If someone is hurt you get taken to NHS hospital, and then if it is really serious and you are disabled there is on-going treatment, and there are disability payments from the Government. Other than that I think there are some charties like the Mark Davis Injured Riders fund.
