Sounds pretty good, at only £6 but states in the terms

This policy provides insurance for people who ride but do not own or permanently loan a horse

So thats me out xD

Thats all it says in the policy book about the type of insurance but it may be worth ringing them up and asking if it will cover riding other peoples horses, if those horses arent insured themselves. If it does, i would be interested in it too as i ride a number of other peoples horses and most of them i doubt very much if they have insurance to cover the rider. :)

I joined the British Grooms Association and got insurance through them - think the total came to £80 for a year but think just the insurance was £60 or £70 a year. Can't think off the top of my head who the insurance was with but that covered handling and riding other horses. Might be worth a look.

I joined the BHS for the insurance. It covers you to ride any horse with permission. It includes your own so with my own

Sorry phone....

With my own insurance I leave off public liability as I have that through the BHS as it works out cheaper that way.

It is £50 odd a year and you get discounted rates if more than one family member joins. You get all the other benefits like the legal advice and the magazine and your money goes to a good cause :D
