I am in the process of writing my personal statement for universtiy.

I want to study Equine Business Management with Hartpury being my top choice.

Does anyone have a personal statement that I could just read over to try grasp what I need to write as I am getting very minimal help with mine as noone understands equine at college lol.

Thank you

I dont have mine anymore..new laptop but you have got to make sure that your first sentence/paragraph is really noticeable memorable!

I started mine off with a little story about me riding through the woods and i was really happy ect..then i was back at the yard and mucking out and equally happy doing that because i love horses. Then went on to say why, my experience ect.

I'll have to see if i can find it because...imo..it was really good lol

thank you

I am not going to copy it, I just need to know how people started it etc as NOONE knows how to help me to gear it around horses lol

x

well mum doesnt understand unis and exams etc
and dad doesnt have time lol

Thanks

Did you enjoy hartpury? what did you take?

Im planning on lots of work experience this summer, and hopefully go to america for 10 days next year as farrier knows american eventing team if i can get out there!

Wow that sounds really cool!

I did Equine Sports Science, i really enjoyed the course but the people not so much. Im not really your typical girly girl, and im not really the type of person that enjoys all the bitchyness.
The lectures are really good, interesting..i learnt so much in my time there.

cool

well i quite like to keep myself to myself lol
Trying to persuade parents to let me take a horse with me, but i doubt i will
im in young farmers so i guess that will give me something i have in common with people?

Yeah there was a lot of young farmer things going on while i was up there.
If you do take your horse, i would advise not keeping him/her on the hartpury yard, a lot of people on the yard didnt really like it, and their horses took a long time to settle into the busy atmosphere of the place.

Everyone is really friendly though, im sure you will have a brilliant time up there.

sounds fab

i doubt i will be able to take her with me anyway as she will be getting old and is very stressy x
