Hi, ive recently bought an immitation Pessoa which seems to be be very similar to the real deal.
I wondered if anyone could help me with the fitting. I have no problems actually getting the training aid on, what i need help on is how tight to have the ropes. I dont want to have them too loose so they aren't working him properly but also i dont want to adjust them so much that its forcing him.
Also i've noticed people mention the 'in between legs position' how is this done & when? He is a 13yr old experienced eventer @ novice level, but need more topline & suppleness over his back & quarters.

Any help/pics wouls be great.
Thanks

Regarding the fit, put it on and adjust it accordingly (if it looks too loose tighten it up a bituntil it's just right, you really just need to see what your horse is doing).
On the lowest 'in between legs position' you thread the ropes through the rings on the roller, attatch the pulleys to the bit and bring the rope through the horses front legs and attatch to the ring on the roller girth. If you can get somebody to show you.

Hope that made a bit of sense

thanks!
so am i right in saying that the rope from the sheepskin piece to the bit (lowest rope on the side) should pass thru' a ring on the roller on its way to the bit? Should this be done just on this setting or on all as the rolloer i have just bought does not have a ring this low?

Is there a way to make your own ring?

You can use a bit of bailer twine to make a ring.
Th rope should pass through a rng on the side of the roller on all settings I think, I can't tell you off the top of my head, I'd need to double check my diagram but I think I'm right (I'm open to being corrected though)!
